How to Frame a Bathroom Mirror

If you want to know how to frame a bathroom mirror, check out these few tips and guidelines. Making do it yourself projects at home can help save you money. Instead of paying to have a professional do the work, you can do the work instead and keep the money. This is applicable for tasks and repairs needed at home. Although if you’re working with something dangerous like electric wires or appliances, it may be best to have a professional handle it instead.

As for framing a bathroom mirror, it’s something every homeowner can do on their own. It doesn’t require special materials or equipment. If you have no miter saw at home you can choose to buy No-Miter Moulding.

Tips of how to frame a bathroom mirror
First of all, complete all the materials you will need. The most important is the moulding. This is the one that will frame your mirror. Prepare a miter saw or buy a No-Miter moulding if you don’t have one. Have paint and a paint brush ready as well as caulk, pencil and measuring tape.

Measure your mirror and then buy the moulding. You can have it cut in the store as well to your specific needs. If you have a miter saw, I recommend cutting the pieces of moulding on a 45 degree angle so they would fit nicely in the four corners. Once it’s cut, paint the mouldings and make sure to cover the back near the top edge so it won’t reflect in the mirror.

Leave it out to dry before painting the other side. Basically, I recommend at least two coats on all pieces. Once that’s dry, you’re ready to frame the mirror. Start with the bottom side. Apply glue, Liquid Nails is a good one since it dries quickly. Once the bottom side is done, add the side pieces and then the top piece last. If the joints don’t match you can use caulk to cover up the spaces. It’s really easy once you know how to frame a bathroom mirror.
